STORY
I came up with the concept for this song while I was flying to Nashville. It just kind of came to me. I guess you could say it’s somewhat autobiographical. I think all girls go through the stage where they really like someone, but that person’s with someone else. Or they really like someone who doesn’t even realize they’re there. So they feel invisible. I thought it would be cool to come up with a song that talked about this. By the time I sat down to work on this song with Don and Michael, they had coached me on the process of co-writing together. I had gotten much more comfortable working with them, and I was able to contribute my own ideas for lyrics and concepts.
LYRICS
VS1
I'm starin' at your photograph
And I just smile
You're the one that always makes me laugh
And that's just your style
You and I have forever been
There for each other
But lately, something's just not the same
CHORUS
What do I have to do
For you to get that I'm in your space
What will it take to get to you
OH, to make you see my face
At what point will you get a clue
Can you explain, is it a game
It's clear to see, that I'm so Invisible
Is it you, is it me, am I so Invisible?
VS2
It's getting harder to pretend
I'm not feeling this
Will my dream come to an end
We're just a breath away from one kiss
I'm not sure what I can say
To make you notice
Lately, something's just not the same
CHORUS
BRIDGE
Maybe, you'll see I'm not the same
